The Somerville Homeless Coalition was founded in 1985 when community leaders, neighbors, church leaders, and city officials came together to address the issue of homelessness.
The result was the opening of Somerville’s first and only shelter for homeless adults and the formation of the Somerville Homeless Coalition, Inc.
Today we operate two shelters, a food pantry, case management program and several housing programs. Come learn more about the programs and services we offer and new initiatives we are taking to address the issues of homelessness
